Capstone is coming to a close so I thought I would take this time to wrap up my project. I have now learned about criminal, sports, and family law. While I enjoyed learning about all three, I could only see myself pursuing a career in criminal or sports law. I do not think I would be a very good family lawyer. However, I am really torn between criminal and sports law. I find both of them really interesting and know I will enjoy either of them. With criminal law, I would have the option to be either a prosecutor or defender or maybe even both if I wanted to. With sports law, on the other hand, there is much more uncertainty because it is a relatively new career. Nonetheless, sports law combines two of my passions: sports and the law. I am a huge New England Patriots fan and my mom has always joked that I could become their lawyer one day. Maybe I can actually become their lawyer one day though. But, do I want to venture into the unknown with sports law or stick with the certainty of criminal law? Or, when I enter law school will there be a different type of law I wish to pursue? So, right now, I do not know exactly which type of law it will be for me. It's a good thing I have the next four years of college to think about the type of law I wish to pursue!
